OP Designs Inc. creates original work out of metal suitable for the home, garden, office or gallery. We offer original pieces or work with clients to create custom – built designs. We have had the pleasure of working with artists, architects, and individuals that want unique works in metal.

OP Designs is a member of the Roaring Forge, a cooperative of independent blacksmiths. The Roaring Forge is located at 618 Buggy Circle, Carbondale, Colorado.

Metal work is a very labor intensive craft involving heating, hammering, torch cutting, welding, drilling, and bending. The pieces are strong and durable but not indestructible. Finishes may change over time, especially in the case of the exterior pieces.

A commission piece begins with an initial drawing and estimate. Then a final design and bid is approved and a contract signed. A deposit is expected for work to begin along with agreed installment payments or balance due upon completion, depending on the length of the project. Change orders may incur additional fees. Satisfaction of construction, finish, and installation of the piece is guaranteed.
